Sharon provides psychotherapy for children, adolescents and their families. She has enjoyed working with children and their families for many years. From the beginning, she establishes a warm therapeutic connection with the child or adolescent. It is through this connection that she is able to help them and their parents in understanding and managing the difficulties that confront them.
Educational and Professional Background:
Sharon holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and a Master of Arts Degree from Hood College in Human Services and Elementary Education. She has worked in settings that include Level 5 placement for boys ages 4–18, homeless families, domestic violence, rape/sexual assault, crisis intervention with juveniles using Multi-Systemic Therapy and has taught in the public schools for 17 years.
