Jess is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). She provides individual and group therapy for Deaf/Hard of Hearing/Hearing children, adolescents, and their families. She utilizes talk therapy as well as various expressive techniques (including art, writing, and play). Jess believes that as a therapist, it is her role to reach out to children and meet them at their current levels and needs. She respects each client as a unique individual and supports the acronym, YAHOO – You Always Have Other Options. Jess creates a strong rapport with clients by providing a culturally safe, confidential, and nonjudgmental environment.

Educational and Professional Background:
Jess received her Master's Degree in School Counseling from Gallaudet University. She held various education and counseling positions at the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf and the Maryland School for the Deaf. In both settings Jess obtained considerable clinical perspective, while working with Parent/Infant groups, as well as elementary, middle school, and high school students.
